Old Stables Studio

For people who are curious about working with clay and would like to experience the traditional way of making ceramics. This short taster session on the potter’s wheel is ideal for your first time at the studio or simply if you just want to try something new, have some fun and get your hands dirty.

A fun activity maybe with a friend or family book two or more places.  This unusual experience can make a memorable ‘date’ for those inspired by romance and it is traditional to celebrate with pottery for a 9th wedding anniversary (think Ghost!)

You might not be an expert, but by the end of this session you will certainly have something to talk about. You might start by making sticky blobs but you’ll finish the session with a beaker and a breakfast bowl of your very own. This session includes use of facilities, tuition, tools, basic materials and we will fire and glaze your best two items for you to pick up at a later date. Tea / coffee (please note 3 hour taster sessions do not include lunch)
